Hey Girls period products offer the functionality of plastic, without the pollution!
We use natural materials without any hidden nasties like chemicals, bleach and toxins and our plant-based ingredients are responsibly sourced and renewable.
We work closely with manufacturers to ensure all our products are sustainable, and from the data collected below – you can see why!

Our plant-based disposable products are made with sustainably sourced bamboo and 100% certified organic cotton.
The absorbent internal layer of our pads is made from corn starch and the wrappers are made from biofilm which is completely biodegradable within 6 months.
We have three styles of tampon, all made using certified organic cotton that can be traced all the way back to its original source.
Our cardboard applicators are made from recycled cardboard, the plant based applicators are made from sugar cane and the non-applicator tampons are also wrapped in biofilm which is completely biodegradable within 6 months.

Bamboo has natural antibacterial properties, just one extra reason it’s a great material to use in our products.
Our reusable products are designed to last between 5-10 years preventing unnecessary waste heading into landfill and have been shortlisted for awards thanks to their zero-waste design.
We use recycled ocean-bound plastic bottles to make our wash bags and the packaging sleeve opens up to reveal a period tracking chart that can be used for up to a year.
Educating people on what a healthy period looks like will always be paired with our products.
Our period cups are made using the highest quality medical grade silicone and are 100% latex free.

We are the only social enterprise to become finalists at renowned global climate conference COP26 for the ‘Heroes of NetZero’ award.
This recognised our efforts in green business, innovative packaging design and our commitment to minimising our carbon footprint.
tackling water pollution and climate change…
We were the first UK period product manufacture to tackle the issue of water pollution by adding the ’do not flush’ logo to our product wrappers. We ran a campaign in collaboration with Scottish Water and later went on to work with Anglian Water on future partnerships.
The campaign educated communities to make clever choices in their period habits and raised awareness to the 4.6 million products that are flushed down UK loos every day.
With a long-term goal of becoming 100% carbon neutral, we support the Forestry and Landscape Scotland to offset our carbon footprint and donate 10% of all profits to help restore natural habitats.
We’ve also signed up to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals and are one of the UK’s ‘Business Climate Leaders’, pledging to halve our carbon emissions by 2030 and become net-zero by 2050.
We pride ourselves on living our values in everything that we do from using paper tape to send our orders out, to ordering uniforms made of recycled materials from a local small business.
