Hey Girls donates 2.3 million products in 2018!
At our first Birthday party this week, Hey Girls unveiled our first year Social Impact Report . It shows that with the help and support of our amazing customers and partners, we donated 2.3 million products last year across the UK!!!
It was a great night, welcoming partners and friends who helped with all stages of the Hey Girls journey – from Robbie Broomfield at Business Gateway who first told Celia that this wasn’t a crazy idea, to Kieran Daly at Big Issue Invest who provided the investment that helped us launch in ASDA and Waitrose. And from Sue Ashurst at Holy Cow who built our brand to Rachel Brown at the Cultural Enterprise Office – the first business to stock Hey Girls products in their toilets. Everyone there had made a contribution to building Hey Girls – if it takes a village to raise a child, it takes a roomful of amazing people to start a social enterprise.
We want to take this moment to thank everyone who has made this possible – from kind strangers who popped a fiver in the post, to fabulous donation partners working hard to support communities across the UK. None of this would be possible without you.
Hey Girls is already looking forward to what the next year will bring. We have exciting announcements coming up, including the launch of our education programme, new products, and a whole load more of Buy One Give One. The mission of Hey Girls is to eradicate period poverty in the UK, and we won’t stop until we’ve done it.
