Hey Girls are proud to partner with abrdn, a global investment company which shares our goal of eradicating period poverty.
abrdn helps its clients become better investors and manages and administers more than £495 billion in assets for their customers.
An overview of our partnership
We have been partnered with abrdn since International Women’s Day on 8th March 2023, after Social Enterprise UK recommended our services to the company.
All staff at abrdn’s eight UK offices have access to Hey Girls products. Pads and tampons are placed in bathrooms throughout the workplace, so they are readily available whenever people need them.
The company says the partnership has helped them build an inclusive, dignified workplace while demonstrating their support for eradicating period poverty.
Staff members at abrdn have praised the initiative and said it gives them peace of mind knowing products are available.
Previously, they would have to run to the nearest shop to buy a whole pack of products if they were caught short. Now, they only have to walk a matter of metres, while also saving themselves money.
What did abrdn have to say?
Dawn Young, Workplace Environment Manager at abrdn said: “Hey Girls have been a pleasure to work with. Ailsa went above and beyond to provide support in webinars and talks at on-site events to ensure the message was being shared with our employees.
It’s wonderful to meet the people who make this great cause possible and are passionate about making a positive impact on the world.
We partnered with Hey Girls not only to support our employees but also to help them achieve their mission of ending period poverty.”
