Hey Girls continues to prioritise the welfare of staff across the country, and today we welcome Raytheon UK as a period friendly employer.
It’s our mission to bring period dignity to the UK workforce, and we do so by teaming up with leading businesses who want to improve the welfare of staff through period product provision.
John Dickinson, Raytheon UK Diversity, Inclusion & Equity
Lead, said: “We’re delighted to be partnering with Hey Girls to provide free
period products across all of our Raytheon UK sites and support our local
charity partners. The work that Hey Girls do is fundamentally important to
building a more equitable society and we’re extremely proud to play our small
part in this journey.”
Raytheon UK is a technology and innovation leader specialising in defence, national security and other government and commercial markets around the world. They employ over 1,700 people across their UK sites, and have a particular focus on empowering women in the workplace through their “Be the Difference” campaign.
Better yet, every purchase made by Raytheon UK will have a direct impact on fighting Period Poverty in the UK. Hey Girls matches every box supplied in-office with a box to one of our local community partners. Since launching in 2018, Hey Girls have donated over 18 million boxes of period products across the UK.
Sinead O’Donnell, Raytheon UK HR Director and Women’s Network Lead added: “I’m proud that we’re continuing to build a more inclusive workplace at Raytheon UK, our partnership with Hey Girls will not only support our colleagues and visitors at our Raytheon UK sites, but allows us to do our small part help tackle period poverty in our communities and build better gender equity not only in the workplace, but in society.”
You wouldn't let your staff go without loo roll or hand soap, so why should period products be any different?
Here at Hey Girls, we believe access to period products is a right, not a privilege. Whether you’re at work or play, everyone should have the opportunity to use products that are kind to their body.
We have designed a collection of period products that we think can’t be beaten – not only are they kind to your skin and free from toxins, the Hey Girls range is also sustainably made and biodegradable!
Celia Hodson, Founder & CEO added: “It’s so great to have been selected as the supplier of sustainable period products for Raytheon staff. Our products don’t contain any harmful chemicals and are made from sustainable products including bamboo and cotton. We work tirelessly to improve the quality of everything we make.
“By choosing to buy through Hey Girls, employers like Raytheon are helping employees receive the best quality period products possible. And of course, for every product bought, we’ll be donating the equivalent value to someone affected by period poverty. Raytheon’s commitment to its staff will make a difference in the fight against period poverty in the UK.”
Raytheon UK now joins a number of UK businesses who are leading the way in period equality, including Willmott Dixon Interiors, Babcock International, Wates, Aesop, The Scottish Football Association and Skyscanner. It’s never been easier to become a period friendly employer.
