Anglian Water has been working with Hey Girls since 2022. Hey Girls environmental and period dignity credentials made this the perfect partnership for Anglian Water who are committed to ending plastic pollution in the East of England as well as focusing on staff well-being. Anglian Water is a water company that operates in the East of England and has 63 sites and offices across the UK.

The need

Anglian Water aims to eradicate plastic pollution in the east of England by 2030 – with more than 3,000 tons of period product waste passing through its networks every year.

Switching to organic period products for just two months can also save 900 days’ worth of water.

The impact

The partnership, which also includes posting period education posters in all bathrooms, has been met with a positive reaction from men in the office who have gained a better understanding for the health and wellbeing of their family members.
