How do I dispose of my used product?

Never flush a used product down the toilet! Most bathrooms have bins for you to correctly dispose of your pad or tampon. We suggest keeping the outer wrapper to fold your used product into before popping in the bin – toilet roll works for this too.

How do I insert a tampon?

First of all, find the style of tampon that works best for you. Our non applicator tampons don’t come with any additional applicator to aid insertion but our plant based and cardboard applicator tampons do. It’s important to take your time, relax and if you get stuck, follow the instructions in the product information pack.

You will know a tampon is in correctly when you can’t feel it – it should never be uncomfortable and the string should always remain outside of your body.

Do I need to remove a tampon to go to the toilet?

Wearing a tampon doesn’t affect urination at all and you don’t need to change your tampon every time you go to the toilet.

Can I sleep with a tampon in?

Technically yes you can sleep with a tampon in but it’s essential you do not wear a tampon for longer than 4-8 hours. For your safety, this is to prevent Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS) which is rare but can be very serious.

What is Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS)?

Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS) is a rare but serious illness associated with wearing tampons for longer than the advised time of 4-8 hours. Always read the enclosed safety information and choose the lowest absorbency for your flow. Symptoms to look out for include fever, rash, dizziness, nausea and flu like symptoms. If you experience any of these and you’re concerned, always seek medical advice as soon as possible.
