our community partners distribute our donated products to those that need it most…

A community partner is a grassroot organisation or charity that receives our matched products as donations to distribute to the communities they work with. Without them, our donations wouldn’t get to those that need them.

We work with almost 400+ partners spread across the country who offer a range of services, directly working with people in need. They are youth groups, women’s centres, food banks, outreach services and homeless shelters – fantastic people doing really amazing things in their communities.

We always commit to a constant supply of products to our partners so people that depend on these services never go without.

Our relationship with all partners is strong, working collaboratively to understand what their community needs from preferred product choices to accessibility barriers.

We regularly bring our donation network together for ‘lunch & learn’ sessions so they can build a community tackling similar issues and we provide education for all community partners to run alongside the provision of free products.

Since launching Hey Girls in 2018, we have donated over 30 million period products across the UK.

what we expect from you:

We ask all of our community partners to agree to the following principles, to ensure dignified, barrier free access to products:

  • Period products will be free for all users with no questions asked. No one will be asked for anything in exchange for free products, fill in a form, give their name or any other details when accessing products.
  • Period products will be available in unlimited quantities.
  • No one will be required to trade food stamps or points in exchange for products.
  • Period products will be accessible to people of all genders, in a discreet manner. As far as possible, products are available in gender neutral toilets and disabled toilets.

If you have any questions, you can say hey to Kate and Hannah – our community partner team – who are always happy to help!

Please make sure you are an organisation working in the community before you send an enquiry; Hey Girls are unable to donate direct to individuals.
