How do I insert a period cup?

Period cups can be folded in many different ways making them easy to insert just like you would a tampon. When inside the vagina, the cup creates a seal keeping you leak free throughout your cycle.

To remove it, squeeze slightly to break the vacuum seal before pulling out slowly and gently on the tail of the cup (just like you would a tampon string) and rinse it for your next use.

Give a cup a go! It can be intimidating at first, but find what folds work for you and take your time. We have lots of useful guides on our website and socials if you get stuck.

How long can I wear a cup?

You can wear a cup for up to 12 hours! It’s great for sports and swimming as an alternative to tampons.

How do I clean my cup?

Period cups should be sterilised before and after each use.

Pop the cup into boiling water for 2-3 minutes, making sure it’s cooled down before you insert it! You don’t have to use soap but if you do, make sure it’s natural or silicone friendly.

The easiest way to clean your period cup is with our sterilising pot. Simply pop your cup in and fill the steriliser with water up to 1cm below the rim. Place the lid loosely back on top and microwave for 2-3 minutes.

Does the sterilising pot fit any cup in it?

Yes! Both a small or large period cup fits in our sterilising pot, making them the perfect pair for your period!

The sterilising pot is design to fold away when not it use, so it’s easy to take with you on the go or when traveling. The collapsible design makes it easy for your cup and sterilising pot to fit neatly in our Cup Combo Kit washbags.

I’ve been using these cups for 2 years now and I love them! Easy to put in and take out. Good for the environment and doesn’t cause irritation like tampons do. I can use this on heavy period days and light days.

    AMAZING!!
been experimenting with different reusable menstrual products over the years and this is by far the best!!
I have a petite frame so use the size small cup and it fits perfectly. Very comfortable and easy to use after a few months of practice. Would highly recommend! Have just this month gotten the reusable pads so looking forward to giving them a go

I have used a cup for many years, When my 11-year old daughter asked about the “rubber things” I used every month I told her about the menstrual cups and how good they were. She wanted to use one right away as she liked swimming. I bought her a Hey Girls small cup. It took her a few goes and some KY jelly but she eventually used it successfully and with only a little discomfort at first. Now she absolutely loves it and has converted most of her friends!
    Excellent!

Why have I spent over a year toying with the idea of buying a cup? I spent far too long researching products and being undecided about taking the plunge. I bought this on a whim last week in Co-Op as it was so reasonably priced and liked the fact the company help period poverty. I have endometriosis and very heavy periods that can leak through a tampon in less than an hour. I spend my hours at work, at leisure and in sleep, worrying about leaks and throwing clothes into the wash. This little thing is a game changer. There should definitely be more awareness on how fantastic they are. So comfortable and totally leak proof. Get yourself one today as you won’t regret it!

Very high quality and I love the little bag that it comes in!

I chose to order with you as you donate one for everyone bought, which is great. It takes a little time to get used to but this is a game changer – no more waste in landfill – brilliant!

Not only is this a cheaper product than other brands, the silicone is a lot more comfortable and flexible than other more expensive brands.
