Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service partnered with Hey Girls to make period products readily available across its stations and community buildings, helping to create welcoming, inclusive environments for everyone who uses its facilities.
The Challenge
The Service wanted to ensure period products were easily accessible not only for employees, but also for the many people who use its buildings and services, including fire cadets, King's Trust students, volunteers, and visitors.

Why Hey Girls
Hey Girls was a natural fit, sharing the Service's commitment to inclusion, wellbeing, and community support. Their social impact model and focus on period dignity aligned closely with the Service's values. The goal was simple: give people access to what they need without awkward conversations, embarrassment or having to ask.
A social-impact donation model supporting people experiencing period poverty
Eco-friendly, zero-waste products
A shared belief that period products are a basic essential, not a luxury

The Impact
Today, Hey Girls period products are available across Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service stations and community-facing locations. Having products readily available helps ensure that an unexpected need never becomes a barrier to taking part in activities, attending events, or accessing services.
More than products
This partnership is a simple but meaningful way of supporting dignity, accessibility, and inclusion, helping to create environments where everyone feels welcome and supported.
“The partnership reflects our shared commitment to dignity, accessibility and supporting the communities we serve.”
