Hey Girls is proud to announce a new partnership with Orbit to provide free period products to customers in need. This collaboration is part of Orbit’s Better Days programme, which supports people facing financial difficulties with practical help and advice.
Through this initiative, Orbit customers will have access to free, sustainable period products at their local Orbit community hubs. By working together, we’re ensuring that those struggling financially do not have to choose between essential products and other basic needs.
In addition to period products, Orbit is introducing personal care packs containing essential toiletries like toothbrushes, toothpaste, shower gel, and shampoo. These packs are supplied by social enterprise Ethstat Ethical, which reinvests its profits to support people facing homelessness, unemployment, and other challenges.
Louise Millington, Better Days Hub Lead at Orbit, emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating, “Everyone has the right to access basic hygiene products, but the reality is that some of our customers struggle to afford these everyday essentials. Through this partnership, we’re helping people access free products while also providing long-term support through Better Days.”
Georgie Nicholson, Contracts & Partnerships Manager at Hey Girls, shared, “No one should have to choose between buying period products and other essentials. Through our partnership with Orbit, we’re making sure more people have access to free, sustainable period products when they need them. Orbit’s ‘Better Days’ programme is already doing incredible work to support people facing financial hardship, and together, we’re not just tackling period poverty, we’re breaking down stigma, championing dignity, and ensuring better period health education for all.”
This partnership is another step forward in the fight to end period poverty. If you’d like to develop a similar partnership, contact our team: b2b@heygirls.co.uk
